Ruby Radish

Like a watched pot, the winter crops in our garden never seem to "boil." Twice a day, as we pass by on the way to the chicken coop, we check the progress of our plants. Most successful seems to be the garlic, the swiss chard, and our beautiful french breakfast radishes, which we sampled for the first time as a delightful addition to a salad.

  1. I can't wait for my radishes to come up! I thinned them out this weekend to 3" apart. I like seeing ya'll's progress!

    1. Thanks for your interest in our blog. The radishes have increased 1.5-2x the size of this first one in just 1 week. We planted the radishes on Jan. 11, so it took about 45 days before they reached a good eating size.
